Harley
This tiny but mighty little guy was walking the plank at the kill pen in Asheboro, NC. We couldn’t let that happen so we took him out of that horrible place.
We were told he was 4 years old and had a clean bill of health. After several weeks in quarantine we found out he was in fact closer to 20 years old and had been fighting a respiratory infection the entire time. He was underweight and starving.
Rescued
As soon as we got him home, he became instant buddies with our rescue mini donkey Duke and plumped right up! He still struggled with that infection for a couple of months but that never stopped him from running full speed across the pasture whenever he got the urge. He’s still hesitant about receiving affection, but he has definitely come a long way.
Merlyn
This sweet guy was found by VP Kayla one day while doing deliveries in an apartment complex. She scooped him up, took him straight to the animal shelter and waited im-patiently to see if anyone claimed him.
Rescued
After a grueling few days, Merlyn was officially adopted into the family! He is a high energy destroyer of toys but he sure does love his human mama and his adoptive cousins Tucker and Maverick!
Lola
This pretty girl was found outside of a wrestling show our board member Larry was performing at. He scooped her up and took her home.
Rescued
Now she enjoys snuggles and lots of treats at home with her other rescued brothers Harley and Oscar.
